I'd like to see a future stadium be a catalyst for redevelopment, so a location either on the bus barns site or the west village get my votes.
Bus Barn is too close to residential, wherever the new stadium goes, it needs to be able to handle very big concerts (thinking the 2 Metallica shows Commonwealth just, hosted in August). To be honest, the current location may be best, if McMahon had stands on the ends, it would cut noise by half probably, then we could have more shows there. My money is on another renovation. If they take he current stadium down to the bones, they could easily renovate it to something much more suitable.Vic Park bus barns is the way to go.
This should just be an apartment building. There would be a better site outcome and it would allow for more space to be saved for trees, outdoor common spaces, and reconfigured parking orientations.Huge townhome development in Bankview
New: Townhouse Building (5 buildings), Secondary Suite (34 suites), Accessory Residential Building (carport)
This is worse than an apartment building right? Even though it is missing middle...

I would prefer an apartment building, but I don't mind this. 68 units in total is decent density and will help build a continuous wall along 26th.Huge townhome development in Bankview

That proposal required cleanup to the point of allowing residential development. The contamination cleanup would cost up to $300M.
Ideally, I would like to see residential development on that land, not just a stadium. That proposal required cleanup to the point of allowing residential development.
If they do the remediation they kind of need to, otherwise that land is permanently stadium and nothing else? It’s a pretty big parcelThat proposal required cleanup to the point of allowing residential development.

At what cost though? $100,000 a unit?Ideally, I would like to see residential development on that land, not just a stadium.
A park? Light industrial funky warehouse district that is totally inorganic but we will all forget that it is ‘fake’ in 20 years? If they do the remediation they kind of need to, otherwise that land is permanently stadium and nothing else? It’s a pretty big parcel
I agree. One of the concerns I have with these rowhouse developments going up everywhere is that they seem to be a way for developers to use it as a shortcut to achieve apartment-style density without apartment-style amenities like proper waste & recycling collection and decent common spaces. This should just be an apartment building. I think it's great! A family with 1-2 kids is more likely to move to Townhouse than an apartment. 99% of apartments have the same 1 and 2 bedroom floor plates.Huge townhome development in Bankview
