I’d like to see the Scotia building incorporated, but I also like that removing the building will allow for commercial space to wrap around the corner onto 14th Street. It would have been easier to justify saving the Scotia building if it wasn’t on the corner.

Article on Arlington Street Investments. New rendering for their site at the SE intersection of 17th Ave & 14th St which shows the historical Scotia Bank building demolished along with the ugly Telus building.

Did they buy the Telus building? It still has a forsale sign on it.

this looks promising, so many roads closed downtown this weekend, lots of work going on.

This latest rise in house prices seems to have really spurred a lot of growth and development, especially south of 17th Ave. Lots of earth has been moved, a number of townhomes have been built, including some fronting right onto 85th Street further south. If Ronmor gets their commercial hub going as well, combined with Aspen Landing, it will be quite a hub.

as the ring road nears completion it will be interesting to see what happens out there, if the whole area catches fire or not.
I suspect ring road completion will benefit the Providence area in the extreme SW the most. Without the ring road, it is probably the most transporation constrained area of the City
