Underpass Revitalizations

Not only a public realm, but also the only way to walk between the Downtown core and the Beltline that I could see. I could choose to skirt around parks in the evening, but I had no choice except to to use an underpass to get across 9th ave. It leaves you trapped in a very narrow area between the road, a concrete wall, the road over top while having to get past whoever is hanging out under there.

Walking 4th street this pst weekend, the interactive bit of the project seems to have crashed. Hopefully the installation resets regularly without needing a technician to come out.

I had noticed a couple weeks ago the system seemed to be working again/for the first time. It is pretty cool!

Also, work continues apace on 5th Street. Mad respect to the contract administrator on the city side and the contractor for moving it along quite quickly

Meanwhile, even with some local artwork improvements, the Macleod Trail and 1 St SE underpasses are still pretty dingy.
