A fitness facility for elite whites on indigenous land! Capitol idea! 💡

🤣😂

They always envisioned big box stores along Stoney/Glenmore. Not much else missing from the area with West Hills and the other power centers off Sarcee.

This seems encouraging that they might complete the Tsuu Tina Parkway-Westhills Way link sooner than later (which would be a nice cycling link). Currently this does not actually link with Stoney to the west (ie. you can't get there from Stoney SE bound, and you can't get back onto Stoney NW bound)

Glad it looks like the plan is improving from whatever hot garbage made it on the Province's Major Projects portal.

Mixed Use Entertainment and Mixed Use Core districts look like they are going to be swamped by parking, but hopefully that's more of a temporary attraction for suburban Calgarians, that can be redeveloped at a later date, while the Mixed Use Residential sections are more functional and solid for the residents.

A construction update was posted on the development's blog, along with a bit more information. Most of the websites related to this project changed and removed information from a year ago. It looks like they were retooling their site plan for Taza Park a bit over that time. Quite a bit of information can be found in this blog post from August:

Some of the density looks to be scaled back a bit from some of the earlier renderings / masterplans. Hopefully we can get more information as the community engagement centre gets closer to opening, and they begin to announce more developments for this area.

Where is that image from, that is not consistent with what I have seen on their website, at least when focusing on the big box along stoney and where they're building their sales centre.

The Province of Alberta's "Major Projects" database — I assume it's an older plan.
