Roads, Highways & Infrastructure

Druing the mid-cycle budget last year, Council (can't remember exactly which councillors) expressed frustration about this lack of prioritization list. That lead the GM of Infrastructure Michael Thompson, to promise he will prepare a prioritization list for them. Not sure when that will be done, I would assume nothing until post election, likely not ready until the next budget in fall of 2026.
A preliminary list for Transit in the new 10 year capital plan was presented to Council last month:

Wow this is dumb, i voted anyways. I voted for the classic Red lettering, its pretty obvious that the UCP wants to get rid of the red, but thats one of the only things that separates us from other provinces.

I also think the "picture" plates are just tacky in general.
Ha, I thought you were joking, but those picture plates are so bad, half of them look like they were cropped wrong or done using MS paint.

I voted the same - for the same reasons.

What about Alberta makes it Strong and Free? This government... Personally, I see weak (minded) and constrained (no access to tide water)
Alberta's moto since 1980 has been "Fortis et liber", which translates as "strong and free".

The current plate design is boring and dated. I like the idea of a picture plate, but none of the concepts are good. Wish they would use the mountain background from the 1990's driver's licenses.

Had they gone with Alberta's official motto (as in the Latin one), I could have gotten behind the rebrand. Using the English translation, which just so happens to match the UCP's official motto, is crass partisan politicking in my view. The graphic plate designs are also boring. Plus, in the midst of a teacher's strike and the AHS report about to drop, not to mention the massive deficit they are projecting this year, this is what they chose show as a government priority? Who was asking for this?
