I like the old industrial pics, going over the map and locating the buildings in the pictures is pretty fun.

It just blows my mind how different the east side looks in those pictures before the Deerfoot cut it off from the rest of the city!
The old train station would make a kick ass market if it was around today.
Pic from 1975. These still look much the same today., one big difference is the area is full of trees now

I love this pic, but it kind of breaks my heart to see that the those other two buildings (right of the old courthouse) gone now. That land titles building is uber cool.

Downtown, west Beltline, 17th Ave. Early 1970s; I believe 1974. (the tallest building is Two Bow Valley Square, also obvious is Century Gardens/Westview Heights, which were 1974. I don't see the HP building or Stephen Ave Place, 1975 and 76 respectively.)
A couple of Bridgeland oldies. One from 1912, and the other supposedly from around 1973.

In 1911, the Federal Government announced plans to build a water meter testing facility in Bridgeland. It was established to calibrate all those devices which measured the flow rate of Canadian rivers and streams.
For many years it was the only such facility in Canada.
