Inglewood (Calgary) part two.

so the conclusion of Inglewood, the thing that gets me is the lack of people traffic, and the fact most stores close at 5pm.

kinda Calgary's "Sam the Record Man" this place is supposed to have everything.

I found this intersection during my wanderings today

That looks like a neighbourhood with a lot of potential. The architecture of the Fraser and Seabloom building actually blew me away; Alberta is very young so a lot of the stuff that survives from the 1910s is pretty squat; that looks like it could be at home in the Lower East Side.

Unfortunately, the main street looks a little too tidy, sort of like main street Ontario in a town of 10,000. The sidewalk is two feet too narrow, made out of that lamentable interlocking brick that was popular in the mid-1980s and, like you say, too many of the businesses are the kinds that close up at 5PM - not enough restaurants, cafes, delis or bars.
