Cool project in Sunnyside at 936 1st Ave, pretty much directly behind Truman's Archer. Daas Architecture. Lots are cleared and DP is in advertising

"We don't want multi-family buildings they will be too large, will create shadows and are out of context with our neighbourhood's character. We want single-family homes that are the size of a small apartment building instead."

4th street definitely has potential. The problem with 4th street is how most of the properties are oriented, with the frontage facing the avenues instead of 4th street. The city needs to make it mandatory for any development on an end lot to face onto 4th street rather than the avenue, or face both 4th and the avenue.

Which is why I cheer every row house that shows up on 4th, facing the street.

Apparently you can write letters in support of a project appealed at the SDAB. Perhaps Skyrise members do that for the Bamburgh Place project?

You need to be an affected person (ie lease or own property nearby) to have standing at SDAB. Anyone can write a letter for consideration at the land use or development permit stage.

Now I'm curious, is there a prescribed distance from the subject site that this encompasses in regards to a landowner/leaser nearby?
