I remember there being a white spot directly west of the Shaw Building at Barlow.

White spot was in Airdrie in the early 80’s where the uptown DQ is now and has been since the 80’s. Uptown being Edmonton trail.
Canadian Western Bank bought the old white spot on 32nd ave.

That's the one I was thinking of. Located here. Unfortunately has since closed.
There was also an older version of a White spot when they were a steak house, located here. There was also a 'Steak House' version across from Chinook for years, also one on 16th ave and 19th street. NW located here.
I don't know if people are old enough to remember the original White Spots in Calgary. They were more like the Keg, while the one's in BC were more like a burger place...similar to one that was next to Shaw. The Steak house version White Spots closed down a while back, and then a few years later the burger type places popped up. Now they are all closed I think.

I’m old enough to remember the “steak house” versions of the White Spot. It was exciting as a kid - I remember going to the 16th Ave/19th St location and I think the Chinook one as well.

The white spots that were sit down restos with wait staff sold burgers with the Triple O sauce
they were like the fast food triple O burgers, but a bit bigger.

There is a sign advertising a new business park on the steel fabrication properties at Barlow and 90th in the SE industrial parks. Buildings look like they are being torn down. Anyone know anything about this development?
