Good planting will hide it for most of the year, and snow piles should hide it for the rest.
I just hate when our city plants grass It's either dead or covered in snow for 80% of the year. Plant some evergreen shrubs or something. Anything but more grass.Looks like in that area the ground will be brought up to the flood barrier with a wall taking over closer to Chinatown. Agreed that I will miss the full openness of that area once the barriers are completed.

anyone know, does the city just destroy all the plants they pull up or are they reused?
I believe they try to replant or re-use them. Whether they survive the transplant is another thing.anyone know, does the city just destroy all the plants they pull up or are they reused?
Drive the route. There are lots of intersection skips, where the bus gets to pass a wave of traffic and move first. That's surprising to me that they determined it would be a minimal difference. If I remember correctly, the MAX Orange through 16th is pretty much your bog standard mixed traffic bus route apart from better shelters and fewer stops. I imagine it can get pretty slow when traffic is bogged down without dedicated bus infrastructure.
I would expect most are mulched or composted.anyone know, does the city just destroy all the plants they pull up or are they reused?
