General Construction Updates

Here's one of the major rennovation going on at EnCana Place. It's kind of a forgotten project since it isn't a new build. It looks quite extensive though.

And here's one from my usual vantage at the Garage Mahal. It's heavily back lit, but I think it's an OK silhouette of 6th & 10th and the Marriot.

6th and Tenth looks tall and noticeable from that side.
 
One more throwback pic, that last one was picked off pretty quickly! This one is a bit tougher.

Sounds Promising, With Telus going up across the street there is a lot of opportunity in the location. Now if only there where a real park (other than olympic plaza) nearby...

I saw an article on it last week. They had an interview with the guy who shoots bubbles and writes odd quotes on one of the buildings. He seemed pretty upset by it. I get that he tried to brighten things up in his own way, but I really hope someone can make something stick. It's going to be within one or two blocks of Telus Sky, the Calgary Tower, Stephen Ave, the Bay and Brookfield place. Here's hoping someone can finally capitalize on that prime location.
 
I hope they can do something too with that block too. The buildings are cool character buildings that need some TLC. With Telus sky going up and Brookfield Place at the other end, it would be a shame to see the block remain derelict looking.

The main thing for me is that the Palomino survives. Where would we go for mind blowing BBQ without it?
