It's as though they are trolling everyone on this forum with that podium. Mix of grey/brown/white stucco on the podium--check! Random geometric shapes-- check! Blank walls-- check! Poor retail interface with the street-- check! are we missing anything? Oh, lets value engineer the crown and add a bunch of spandrel everywhere-- double check!
Luckily the towers are okay, they’re highly visible.

They look great when you're far enough away to not see the podium or the crown too.

haha, that's exactly what I was thinking. I still hold out hope the Feds will one day sell Mewata and the city can make it a museum or something. Calgary Museum of Natural History has a nice ring to it... lol
Musuem would be cool. A farmer's market would also work well I think.

If the Feds still need a military base, the West Village podium would be perfect.
If not maybe the podium can be used in the next Star Wars movie.
