West District | ?m | ?s | Truman

My guess is that it was always going to switch to the new design which is clearly VE'd. It has more similar architectural components to the rest of the buildings which probably has some cost savings.

Throw in a fancy render to try to win the crowd. Once height is approved, VE it. Height didn't get approved so just go back to the original design.
I can assure you, that wasn't the case.

The upzoning got recommended for approval by planning commission yesterday.

And today, here are some construction update pictures for you:

I heard the Cactus Club is going to West Springs Landing, but I don't have a super strong source on that (my barber). I can see the location being in West District, maybe even Radio Block. Either way, I am sure the restaurant offerings in the neighbourhood will be increasing dramatically.
Radio Block will be a different restaurant.

I heard the Cactus Club is going to West Springs Landing,
I could see that happening.

Mondrian's retail units filled up quickly.

For the Plaza, the retail units look high end, with huge ceilings. I wonder if some premium brands will enter that building given the neighbourhood has more disposable income than the rest of the city. CBRE's brochure emphasizes the affluence of the area. Calgary's future Rodeo Drive?
