Starting a thread for this as it may also be under construction. According to Alberta Projects, a BP has been issued.

Such an odd building to begin with. The office market must have been crazy at the time this was built, the floor plate is tiny. Clearly no one wanted the office space now. Residential conversion is a great use for an odd "office" building and the location is pretty good for access to Kensington and the park.

It's an interesting building (while being remarkably boring) - a single, standard 40 - 45 foot residential lot that was redeveloped into office built out with no parking on site and zero setbacks. Imagine if we were this flexible today - the folks that can't fathom a 1m variance for a slightly tall townhome would explode if we still did redevelopment like this.

It reminds me a bit of a 1980s era office infill in many Japanese cities - just a max-the-lot play but where you actually are allowed to without any random setbacks.

With all these conversions happening and new construction in both Downtown and Beltline, would be interesting to see what the population of both these places will be in 5 years.

Beltline is already the biggest "community" in Calgary if I remember, but Downtown will be have to be climbing fast
