Here's hoping for a miracle resurgence of office demand, before this program ruins even more of our mediocre buildings. I mean expectations for architectural masterpieces were already low, but dayyymn.

I don’t think the city really cares if the finish product is eye candy or not. Their dollars are going to get empty buildings full again. Provide more housing downtown (plus low cost housing) and increasing the tax base.

Oh, I'm not asking for eye candy... just something that doesn't cause eye vomit. Some of this stuff takes real effort to make look this bad.

Eshhh. I hope they at least replace all the other windows with a more translucent glass that is not tinted. Otherwise...Yikes. Should have just used black spandrel.

Who let Spandrel Cidex do a conversion?! I feel like we are reducing the office supply by creating super cheap, super ugly buildings that won't really add anything to the experience of anyone not living there. Yikes!

Holy FOCK that is bad! If they painted the concrete white it would at least look less awful. Or even just staggered the spandrel. Why pick such an eye catching and clashing blue?

Unfortunately several of these conversions are turning out architecturally dreadful. They can't even get basics like shape, color and materials right.
