Even though I’m not a fan of the house design the appeal is a likely a separate matter due to their view being blocked.

"I am shocked and appalled that, after building a house that towers over my neighbours and allows me to look into their back yards, someone would dare build something even taller that lets other people look into my yard!! I'm also not crazy about all of these people "loitering" around my house, just because I happened to build it next to an LRT station!"

Too many different cladding types, pretty typical of multi family buildings these days...
6 if you include the black on the eaves. Truthfully though, I don't find it too busy More colors than the Torode building in Inglewood, but this looks less busy. The white, light gray and gray sorta look the same is probably why.
