i know this project has detractors but its nice seeing some of these blocks getting a facelift. some pretty run down buildings here.

Normally I would agree but this is just another run-down looking building going up in a desirable neighborhood. I would've rather waited to see something better be built in this location and have this suburban eyesore be built in another (but less prominent) inner-city location like Killarney or something. I guess everyone's got their own weighing of the pros and cons for a project like this.

just nothing about that stretch of 5th st says urban. 80yr old spruce trees and all.
