The Plaza theatre was the coolest Art Deco element of the building. Also, there were some really neat details in the elevators (I seem to recall a monkey bas relief panel) that must have been lost in the interior demolition.

Why is this project taking a decade. It's like they're building the Sagrada Familia. This building is of middling significance as an art deco building, globally. It's only special because it's the best of its kind in Calgary.
Something about the uniqueness of the product. How tall will the ceilings be? The location is also aceIt personally boggles my mind how they're going to make supposedly high end rentals profitable in this part of downtown, with no balconies or views.
