We sure did. The city must have done the same thing with the neighboring building too. Imagine if both buildings had the setback ?
Slow progress of late, but still progress. Nice to see the construction fence boards gone, and now just a wired fence. We can at least see the streetscape of the building, and so far looks good. We dodged a bullet by having the parking moved to the back.

confirmed the brick will not be painted white, restaurant will be on the ground floor corner, top floor is will be the developers offices.
 
This last bit of construction seems to be taking forever, on the flip side the building has turned out very well. It's been worth the wait.

The fact that this was even a risk - and not a small one - to put street-fronting parking at this prime inner city location is emblematic of the problem(s). This building, like most we have ever built, is likely to be around for 40 to 100+ years. To have put a street-front parking lot here is a wild perversion of current best practices, let alone 2059 or 2119 best practices.
