It's an interesting location. Mentally I can't wrap my head around living at the corner of Home Road and the Transcanada as it always seemed like not a real place, its a highway.

But taking my bias aside, the location is actually pretty good. Grocery store and a bunch of retail right there, amazing access to the park and river system. Only a 15 to 20 minutes bike ride on the best paths in the city to get downtown. Most everything else you might want is less than 10 minute drive away - Market Mall, hospitals, university, university district etc.

It's hard for my mental map of Calgary to accept that you could walk from here to Market Mall or the movie theatre in University District in 30 minutes!

It’s not really a highway at that point. It’s just a regular 4 lanes road with a 50k speed limit. Lots of services and restaurants around there as well. Seems like a great spot.

Driving the trans canada through Calgary has to give people whiplash. Highway, main street, highway, mainstreet, highway. At least Macleod gradually transitions between the two.
