LOL. What a waste of time, money, and resources. I'm assuming the developers are playing the long game (new arena and BMO center will increase demand), but for now they must be taking a bath on their investment. Too much parking in the East Village and surrounding area as it stands now.

I stand by my stance that if they had to spend $75M for parking, they should have buried it and built a park on the surface.

I've come to the conclusion that, if you need to build a parking garage, your best bet is to design something that tries to blend in instead of trying to stand out. Producing beautiful buildings is hard enough even when you don't have to work around an inherently ugly function.

I generally don’t like parking in the podium, but Colors does a good job of hiding the parking structure.
