I wonder what they're doing to the elevator that they decided to add an external one. Anyone in the biz who can speak to why they'd do that?

The interior elevators are quite small and inadequate to load all the numerous building materials ( drywall, metal stud, windows, plumbing etc etc). They are very difficult to access, just much easier from exterior skip. Unsure if they may also upgrade the interior elevators as well.

Well underway now. I’m not in love with the new design, but the old building was pretty boring so I figure having the office space changed the residential is a win overall.

I hope the barbershop on the ground floor makes it through construction, those guys are great, were my go-to when I lived downtown.

Don't forget the ~10 storey building on the SE corner of the TransAlta/Beltline Block site!

Each of these will be home to at least 100 (probably many more) people, which should really help with downtown vibrancy.

It's so cool so many of these residential conversions are connected to the Plus 15, way downtown. It's like one giant super building spanning millions of square feet and many kilometres.

The Teck Place conversion is still under construction. The webpage lists it as coming soon and no details on the floor plans or pricing have been released yet.
