There was also nothing stopping someone from voting twice. I'm not sure what the audit process is but from what I saw you could've voted in the advanced vote and then voted again on election day. With fives tables of voter rolls at my voting location there is no way they would take the time to go through them and make sure Bill Smith wasn't crossed off twice. Even if they did, at each poll, you could vote city-wide in advanced polls so that means that every single vote would need to be scrutinized.
It is pretty plain to see how flawed this voting method was. Suppressing the vote doesn't just affect the people who don't share your values it also affects the people who do.
