Surveys for council candidates on rezoning. The group itself filed an appeal against rezoning, but the answers were from all sides.

For Ward 7, I think I'll go with Atkinson. McRae and the stuff around her and her husband I'd rather not have in city hall, and Barrett is a bit too straight line progressive for me. Making halfway houses, addiction treatment uses permitted uses (require no hearing and no appeal), and absolutely no parking minimum are too simple of a solution to complex problems. The argument that developers will build parking when there is demand is just false. Instead the "cost" of parking is offloaded to the neighbourhood with streets being lined with cars and not pedestrian friendly. I thought Atkinson's response was more nuanced.
