Might be a dumb question, but would they typically finish exterior envelope of a building like this and then dig out the pool areas or would the pool areas already be dug out and poured before the exterior envelope is started? Just kinda wondering if the cold weather and frozen ground has any impact on the project at this stage?
 
I would expect the excavation to happen first, at the same time as the foundation work. Once the walls are up, it would be quite difficult to excavate and load out the dirt.
