Honestly, I too feel like it's a little out of scale as well for Marda Loop...but it's not a hill I'd die on. I do wish though the podium/street interaction was a little higher quality.
As someone who is on a CA board.. community associations should not have a larger voice on development decisions. CAs are rarely a good representation of the community and can too easily be taken over by people who are too focused on development and don't support the other important functions of the association - events and programs, rec facilities, pursuing grants for community improvements, and just basic governance.
What proposed developments don't garner opposition from NIMBYS outside of perhaps some in the downtown and beltline? This just feels like election grandstanding from Jeff.
is this not strange? Why have an experience center you have to demolish the second u turn dirt? The existing strip mall is currently being painted.... And almost all of the tenants have moved out except for subway and the pet store. I wonder if they're going to use it for an "experience center" of some kind

They probably need a certain threshold of sales to get financing, and I imagine that financing would include demolition. So might as well use the existing building as a sales centre.is this not strange? Why have an experience center you have to demolish the second u turn dirt?
of course, but sales don't stop at demolition, seems odd you would have to rebuild it elsewhere. They probably need a certain threshold of sales to get financing, and I imagine that financing would include demolition. So might as well use the existing building as a sales centre.
