Is the crane down or is it just hidden by the building? This still shows a that there is a crane in the crane count thread.

The parking lot facing Macleod is not great, but this place actually has good access behind. There's a nice little playground/park in back that has a footpath right up the middle to the retail spaces on the ground level. I used it to get to the barber there; totally pleasant.

Checking street view, it looks like the park was always there, but now it has a sidewalk, a path through, and a better playground.

Why do you prefer MacLeod here?
Because it's better than the other alternatives. Although outdated this satellite view gives context to the parking. It's linear, along a access road off of a 6+ lane road that's rising in order to go over LRT and freight train tracks. That's much better than along 78th Ave on the south of the lot across the street from a community centre and park or 4a St on the west side (where the park is). Granted there is a parking lot at the building the NW corner off 4a St.
