Imperia | 95.3m | 27s | Truman | NORR

Sure it does, a watered down version for sure, but very similar.

That rendering didn't load for me. That is not what is under construction in Toronto.

I do agree, this older ground level design is simlar to Imperia. These sorts of comparsion is where trouble begins for architecture. Imperia is a hack job with inconsistent Fosteresque features in a run of the mill apartement tower design. Truman's saving grace is that their cladding range is typically above the usual finished quality in Canada. They try too hard with the features. I wish they would put more emphasis on congruent design.

According to this realtor on Instagram, both Truman's downtown projects are sold out, thanks Ontario, so I guess this one will sell out easily.

The marketing site on Truman's website has officially launched now too, with lots of renderings, including a project video. Here are some of the renderings, LOTS more in the link, including some of the interios and amenities.

This mid-building "amenity vault" is an interesting concept. First full production value, large-scale urban condo development sales website I can remember in a long while! Great to see.

Overall it's good - unfortunately the ground floor has all the charm of an obsolete office tower. It's the type of look that is shiny in a render, but cold and empty in practice. Fast forward a decade or two the ground floor would get confused with any 2000s style oil boom lobby.

Looks pretty cool but im skeptical it will look anything like this when completed, been burned too many times in this city by fancy renderings. The main floor lobby is giving corporate office tower vibes, despite that, glad to see something planned for that corner.

I feel like the recent rent explosion is going to incentivise the development of many more multi family buildings in the near future
