Not a new hotel or design that we haven't seen before. This is for the conversion of the Canadian Centre at 833 - 4th ave SW into a 226 room hotel. Seeing as the conversion is underway, we might as well get a thread going.

I’m kinda shocked we never see any proposals for the parking lot NW of this. Anyways I’m happy another office building is getting repurposed.

The city also uses that lot for people to host festivals from time to time, but it would be nice to see it developed. Especially if they could develop it with some restaurants/patios facing the riverfront.
I love the natural feel of the riverfront pathways, but we have a lot of that. It would be nice to see some more restaurants or businesses fronting the river walkway.

Prince's Island Park and the Bow within walking distance will be a great selling point for this hotel.

How you see it based on the color matched but randomly positioned vent covers

Will the rooftop restaurant be opened to the public?

Amenities:

  • An upscale casual dining experience on the 12th floor: Located just blocks away from the Bow River, the rooftop restaurant boasts a striking view and promises a distinctive ambiance that seamlessly blends urban innovation with nature's beauty. The menu showcases the finest ingredients from Alberta, featuring an elevated twist on dry-aged elements, delicious shareables and bites, craft cocktails and a selection of local beers.
