I'd prefer they move to somewhere in downtown proper instead of Airdrie...
Back to this, sorry for rehashing old stuff but they have the new building operational now and are adding on to the head office building now. Bought the lot next to the current building and are building across there. Includes a second story bridge over the parking lot. Not sure if the addition will be taller than current or not. All the old transformer and poles have been moved over to the new building so will be interesting to see what all they will be doing here.

Not ideal but better than "ending" 17th Ave.

5m taller than The Guardian... 😅 Looks like they pulled a bit of a Stantec on us by calling it the tallest in the Beltline. 🫠

Still, that's an insane height for 17th!

499 feet? Oh come on... they can't tack on a one-metre tall ornamental antenna to get this thing over 500 ft?!

So, soon we'll have 4 residential towers taller than Edmonton's third tallest (WV 1 - 3, Broadway 1), none of which are even in our top 20? That's pretty cool 😂

I'm curious as to whether the 47 storey first tower is the tallest of the three, or if it's the middle one. Cause in the render the middle one does look to be about 8 storeys shorter than the tallest, so that could be it. Meaning two towers in this development will be above 150 meters.

Edit: nevermind, the second tower is only around 36 to 40 storeys.

Guardians are not the tallest. The drawings for West Village Towers were 500 feet tall.

Does this include the elevator core and parapet walls? 499 feet with 47 floors would be tight for standard 9 foot ceilings, the higher commercial floors and, the double height penthouse amenity.

I think you're correct about the structural height. If renderings are anything to go by, those bottom three commercial floors like quite tall, and there's the penthouse etc.. I guess we'll see when the DP comes out.

Yes, it seems West Village Towers may be slightly taller (grade = 100m). (If the Vesta numbers are true)

There is a project in Toronto called "The Charles at Church," and it is 47 storeys and 152.7m (though much slimmer).

There are towers in Toronto still built with 8 foot ceilings. I guess it can work for 9 feet. 47 * 3 is 141 leaving 11 metres for the extra floor heights and the mechanical
