No permits for a parking lot have been submitted, it is unclear what this lot will be in the interim.

In the past I've talked about when demo becomes an option outside of conversions. Interesting to see this be the first demolition.

This building was so solid, to demo it and rebuild seems like such a waste, not to mention that it will probably sit vacant for a long while. The corner to the West of this has already turned into a wasted opportunity, so my hope is that this busy intersection is utilized to the greatest extent (mixed use), with some decent massing.

There were some structural issues with the office building and the parkade was undersized for the amount of density on that site. Made sense to take it down.
