I suspect they were just finishing getting the remaining asbestos out the building. The last time I went by, there was a sign with the name of some asbestos removal company.

As of yesterday, the only item still left standing was a 'safe' that was mounted to the concrete floor. Also surprised to see that there was a basement or storage area below ground.
