As indicated in the generali Unversity District thread by @NWUrbanism, Block 22 by Gracorp Properties now has a DP in, so I thought I would create a thread for it.

To me it’s still a case of apples and oranges. EV is all high rise construction (except the stuff along the river which is getting built). Nowhere in downtown/beltline has new construction of high rises. I love what UD has become but it’s mostly low rise and mid rise which is being built in every new sub urban development in Calgary. If high rise construction gets going in Calgary soon I’d bet EV will get its share
 
This is 12 storeys with 330 units. It's like a 30 storey tower laying on its side. It will be concrete construction. I'm happy with the University District being mid rise. They could have also been inspired by Waterloo's taller student districts.
