I think that is Alucoil metal panels, rather than hardie - which would explain why it looks better than most.

Could be! The reveals looked like colour-matched Easy Trim, but not having exposed fasteners makes me think this couldve been Hardie Panels and Easy Trim with something like a sub-girt rainscreen system if that is what they used, or you could be right that that it is a metal panel system.

Will need to look a little closer next time I am there.
