Looking at that last photo of U/D you can see there is so much room to have a bike lane. It still could happen without much cost or effort.

I haven’t ridden a bike through there, but imagine there would be a concern of someone opening a car door while passing by. The cyclist then moves to the right to avoid the car door and gets bumped by an adjacent travelling car. It’s a safety hazard if you ask me.

Sounds like we should remove the on-street parking and put in protected bike lanes.

There is enough underground parking, they definitely could.

Or at least put a cycle lane next to the sidewalk and then have the cars park alongside the cycle lane like they do on the ones downtown.
