Annex looks good, curious how the now concrete "podium" turns out, was originally supposed to be painted metal, guess it will just be painted concrete now...

9A Street NW is a remarkably good street (particularly by our local average). Narrow single lane 1-way with some parking; counterflow bicycle lane, direct connectivity into the path system, great zoning and density with a mix of buildings, all with the backdrop of a LRT backbone and great station-community integration. More of our inner city streets should look something like this.

Minto owns the lot at 613-621 9A St just down the street from Annex. Last week they started scraping the lot, hopefully it is a sign that they are coming back to Kensington after they finish Annex and Era. From the land use application: "Minto Communities is seeking ... 26 metres (8 storeys), a Floor Area Ratio of 5.0 and 70-90 unit building"

That's such a great spot. Tucked away with front door access only by the pathway is very unique.
