It is why i shit post about materials, eventually when i scream into the void someone might listen haha. I'm a firm believer that good design doesn't have to be expensive just requires some extra thought
But have you seen the cost of thought these days?

Due to its rarity, price has gone up exponentially.
 
This is one of my all-time favourite designs in Calgary. Very impressive considering the budget pressures (affordable housing). This is on the opposite side of the spectrum from the Cidex podium trash a few blocks away.

It's the kind of project that seems so obviously a decent outcome - cost-effective, dense, attractive - that you'd think we'd literally just copy-and-paste this anytime we need a new multi-family in any community.

It is on a flat piece of land, there is no reason not to take this nation-wide.
 
Looks great! So simple yet so hard for others to duplicate. The only thing I would have done differently is make the middle section one floor taller and the one on the far right 2 floors taller to give it a staircase effect. Not sure if that would have been possible with elevators, but I think that would have looked cool.
