Another cheap looking tower. I'm having a hard time liking anything built in the beltline over the last few years. In my opinion, the buildings completed and currently under construction in the East Village are head and shoulders above anything else in the city.

The East Village towers are solid, and in general better than the Recent Beltline towers. I still like the look of Colours more than any of the EV towers though.

I don't know if I would say quality and design is head and shoulders above the Beltline. I will say the community planning is head and shoulders above the Beltline.

The new rental tower next to Colours isn't bad either. How it fills the space is a joke.

I actually think this one turned out quite nicely (although i think its mostly the general design and full-span balconies on the south side), but I'm not a huge fan of the recent trend of spandrel-heavy facades in our condos. They just look fussy and somewhat cheap.

I'd much prefer the use of more stone/concrete, or cleaner glass sections, in condo facades, like we see at Westgate Park. While not wildly interesting, I think those condos will (and already have) aged much better.

Hi Group,

I see a Lot of the Pictures of various Bldgs under Dvlpmt in the areas of Centre St to 14 St and 12th Ave on the South to the C P tracks to the North. Its not so much the Pictures I notice, Its the Redevelopement Opportunities
of Spaces I Notice more then anything else. Based on My Experience in Appraisels from years ago I have some good ideas or what Land is worth. Lots. I will B interested to see what is happening say 3, 5 or 7 Yrs out. It Won;t B the Same Areas as We know It Now. Calgary has a chance to Bounce Back with the Price of OI, Change in Gvmnt and Developers with MONEY to Spend and it will B interesting to See how this City Looks Like.

Tnx,
Operater.
