This one was shared by @Albertasaurus in the general thread, but the DP drawings are now posted:

I think this is the first project for Porte in Calgary, who are out of the Vancouver area I think. They have also purchased one of the parcels in Currie Barracks that were meant to go to Bosa apparently.

I like it! We need more stuff on that part of 17th as it is sorta a dead zone between the train station and where it gets busy. This, Soverign, Nest (sorta) and Humpy Hollow redesign will be a good start. That massive lot between 2nd and 1st street needs to get something going soon tho as it is a massive plot of land on Calgary's most popular street

The land use redesignation for this one goes before CPC on January 23.

It's bizarre to me that you can't already build this kind of thing at this location.
You can build this size/density by rights, but they are doing a DC - my guess is there are so many bylaw relaxations it was easier to wrap them all into a DC. Having suit access from both sides (17th and 18th) while still allowing for parkade ramp (at a mid block parcel) caused the building to be on a skew/slant and I can only imagine how many minor bylaw changes that caused. Awesome having residential activation both sides though
