Same. I love the iconic shape of the building, and how it nicely compliments the skyline from certain angles, but it's an abysmal building to experience at street level, and the hot dog colour scheme of the elevators and stairwells have really not aged well.

Anyone know how many levels of parkade this project has? I assume only one or two, as hotels typically don't need a whole lot of parking. That could mean a relatively quick construction timeline.

Great news! Not one of my favorite projects by any means, but will be nice to see this giant vacant lot filled in.

It seems to me that the whole thing is more of an exercise in optics than anything else. And in that sense, I suppose at least the current PM is putting forward a narrative of wanting to remove obstacles and get things done, which is in contrast with his predecessor.

I do wish the buildings were designed to be taller and slimmer, but I am excited to see what will be the tallest buildings in the Chinook area hopefully getting us a little closer to having a proper midtown.
