Right? That's why I'm not totally sold on the rumour but you never know I guess. The upside is that I think they would be one of the few places that could make that space work.
I love this little building, I always thought it could make a cute restaurant or cocktail bar. It bummed me out every time I've walked by it throughout the last year or so cause it keeps falling into a further state of disrepair.
It would be really great to have a mixed-use with a hotel, multiple condos, retail ground floor like it was suggested before, and maybe even a movie theatre on the second floor or something.
There's been a lot of fuss around this building the past couple weeks (prepping the new sidewalk, fixing the balconies, etc.). Is this prep work for selling it? Or do you think that there's a buyer already?
Meant to mention, Amaranth on 4th Street officially closed its location about 2 weeks ago. I wonder if they're preparing this site to move forward with the new tower.
It's annoying since in the original designs there looked like there was supposed to be more plants and shrubs planted in the final design. Now it's just trees with grass around them so the amount of litter that's around them is just disgusting.
