If YYC wasn’t seeing the growth it is, not much would change for Edmonton or Winnipeg, they would have to go through Toronto or Vancouver instead, and they still have that option. At least for Edmontonians they can drive down to YYC and not have to transfer at another airport.

In the latest picture it shows they have poured 39 floors and the floor they are pouring now might be the roof, if it's the 39 floors we are told. If they start pouring another, it's prob going to be 41 like the original title.

I'm okay with only part of the building being brick. It being on the front side and on the lower floors is where it's most important. Unfortunately brick is expensive these days, but at least they put some on one.

AFAIK those two projects are the only ones that are using or planning to use corrugated metal. The metal they used at Courtyard 33 is not as cheap as the standard corrugated metal used for roofs, was about 50% more (and up to double the price) than the ubiquitous Hardie plank/easy trim exterior...

It's not a big amount of units, but once they're converted they forever be residential. If we can convert a few more here and there it will add up over time.
