West Village Towers | 149.95m | 42s | Cidex Group | NORR Dubai Yahya Jan

I just don't get the material colours for the podium versus tower. They do not complement one another.

Demolition of the site has started.

    Arris - 5th and Third | 142.03m | 42s | Embassy Bosa | Amanat Architect

Bosa has an option on the block to the south. Wouldn't anticipate the block west of St. Louis to proceed anytime. When it does happen - don't anticipate Knightsbridge to be involved.

The remaining CRU in Verve that fronts onto the Riff is actually intended for a restaurant. Hopefully that happens at some point.

The space in FIRST would be too small - it's a space that could accommodate a coffee shop or small restaurant (in fact Tim Horton's originally wanted to go in there). But you're correct, the SE corner of Evolution is sized right for a restaurant tenant. There's been a few different groups to...

Those were always going to exist in this development, just in a different format. Originally the idea was: City Market, Shoppers Drug Mart, Joe Fresh Clothing. You amalgamate all of those into one concept and you essentially get Superstore.

    M2 Block | ?m | 4s | XYC | Riddell Kurczaba

I think something like National is exactly what East Village needs. East Village has either end of the spectrum covered (Charbar to Tim Hortons). There's nothing to fill the gap in between. Not to mention, the National franchises are popular and are effective in drawing people/creating vibrancy...

I believe the tenant announcement is happening today.

City Market the emphasis is on food, whereas Superstore has a huge section dedicated to household goods, personal care products, Joe clothing, etc. If it is a Superstore then there would be some overlap between what's offered there and what will be offered at Shopper's. There was also to be a...

Ground floor will consist of a restaurant from a local group, and an e-bike shop (also a well-known local group).

    Arris - 5th and Third | 142.03m | 42s | Embassy Bosa | Amanat Architect

There's a strong likelihood that the grocery store ends up as a regular ol' Superstore rather than the much anticipated City Market.

    Urban Development and Proposals Discussion

I can't get too deep into detail, but there has been some shuffling of land in East Village. There are at least three developers, new to East Village, who have picked up land.

    Block 23 - Central Park | 12m | 3s | Gibbs Gage

They are really nailing the tenant mix - it’s very impressive who they’ve been able to attract to commit to the district....I mean I thought Staples was closing stores! As much as I love what East Village is becoming, the retail component hasn’t been overly successfully executed and that may be...

    Solo on 4th | 16.76m | 5s | Indevelopments | Indevelopments

On what grounds do you believe the City has to deny or delay this project? I think people perceive that planning staff have more control over design (i.e. materials, etc) than what is the reality.

    The Concord | 57.30m | 17s | Concord Pacific | Arthur Erickson

The townhouses are another lesson in how not to design ground floor units - they should be elevated, not sunken. The fishbowl experience doesn't appeal to the buyer. While many people (such as myself) enjoy some of the benefits that the ground floor units can offer, they need to be designed in a...

Yes they have. To what extent, not sure - but definitely people in there now.

I don't see why this information isn't listed online as is. The Development Map is a great feature, but the amount of information it provides doesn't make it overly effective or useful.

    Verve | 82.60m | 25s | Fram | Giannone Petricone

This actually happened over a year ago - so it's not any sudden surprise. That being said, unless there has been another change in the last month, they're still planning to complete Vibe before they totally exit the EV market. Even though FRAM walked away from all of their other parcels in EV, I...
