Looking at that aerial shot of Olympic Plaza, it really shows how desolate and ugly the municipal building plaza is. That whole plaza needs a re-think including removing all the stairs (I would slope up towards the front doors with a gentle ramp), adding some trees, expanding the water feature...

If they painted the Hyatt roof black it would be an improvement.

My definition of early is within the first three months, Jan-Mar. Any later than that and it doesn’t really seem early anymore….As Disco stated, it doesn’t look good at all for the city to be plowing ahead without sharing any insights into the redevelopment.

Any way you slice it, it’s pretty sad to see all those trees and the Olympic arches gone. Not much left of our Olympic legacy once the Saddledome and ski jumps come down in the next few years.

I like the look of this one. I think the copper accents are a nice contrast with the dark glass. The mullions suck but otherwise I think it’s a nice addition to the skyline.

Seems like we are past “early 2025” in my mind. Still find it ridiculous renderings of the new plaza have not been revealed before they started demolition. Why do i get the feeling that there will no longer be a water fountain/skating rink any longer?
