I agree. I would be of the opinion that a waterfront district with restaurants and bars would bread some life into the place even in winter. Hopefully when some of the future developments in East Village are complete, this will be the case. A cafe or decent restaurants would do well at the base...

So it looks like Marmot are installing underground utilities on this site. They have precast catch basins, manholes and piping. Either getting the site ready or this is associated with the 17th Ave revamp work.

Well Eau Claire isn't getting a re-tweaking, it is getting a complete demolition and rebuild. Such a shame. If only the city had balls to dictate to the developers and not the other way around. No more water park, Barley Mill, Eau Lumber building, Joeys, Old Spaghetti Factory.
