It’s a bit of a mess design wise but it’s a big improvement to the current building.

The current building is about as soulless and bland as they come. A) this looks to have a better streetscape, at least going by the rendering. B) will add a lot of residents C) it'll add a lot of residents to a building fronting the 12th ave cycle track.

I don't understand how you can say it's soulless. It's honest, solid looking, restrained, and not sporting some trend-chasing siding (no random squares). I will grant you that it's bland.

I agree that the reno/addition is better, but for reasons completely unrelated to architecture.

I dunno, I like this updated render. Reminds me of The Bridge in Bridgeland, which ended up being a great addition to that neighbourhood and the skyline. I’m here for it.

We’d also be able to add this to the SSP diagrams page, as it’s increasing in height by over 50%.

It's definitely better than the first render. What a mess that was.

The balconies starting where the new floors begin is still kind of awkward. Ideally, the white stripes of balconoes closest to the corner would extend further down into the existing building

I like the look of this. I understand not everyone will like it, but I like that it has a fair bit of variation while only using three colors.
