Interesting. The DP is not released yet...Heavy equipment on site, digging ongoing. Looks like this is a go.
Drove by too fast to get a pic sorry.

The sea of parking likely comes in hand when you have say...any event at all at BMO. Not to mention the tiny issue of StampedeWell now that they have 4 levels of underground parking, maybe the sea of parking becomes less valuable and they redevelop that land.
I know youre responsing to the comment on developing the land, but I want to reiterate maintaining the stampede midway and changing stampede Park from a desolate parking crater into a nice park are not mutually exclusive ideasTough to put the Stampede midway underground, though I suggest we try.
To say that lot is ONLY used for the stampede midway is a big disingenuous. There's a 5 star convention center and 19,000 seat arena that will require parking. You look at any convention/exhibition park in North America...there's either lots or decks surrounding them. Hate parking all you want, you need itI know youre responsing to the comment on developing the land, but I want to reiterate maintaining the stampede midway and changing stampede Park from a desolate parking crater into a nice park are not mutually exclusive ideas
A lot of BMO events are people not from here and I don’t see why one can’t walk from the downtown hotel or take the red line that literally stops outside. The sea of parking likely comes in hand when you have say...any event at all at BMO. Not to mention the tiny issue of Stampede
It does have large parking garages though, and nearby garages that can also be used for Rogers Centre.Toronto’s convention centre is right downtown with no giant parking lots next to it.
Global Petroleum Show uses the parking lots. Those rotary girders don't showcase themselves.A lot of BMO events are people not from here and I don’t see why one can’t walk from the downtown hotel or take the red line that literally stops outside.
Toronto’s convention centre is right downtown with no giant parking lots next to it. Vancouver’s is right on the waterfront, again with far less parking. Even our Telus one downtown has far less surface parking.
