Weather and Gardening Discussion

All those weather streaks came to a hard stop this weekend! lol

No snow at my place, but -0.5 this morning and frost. Plants in the yard seem ok so far, think they will get a little boost this week before dying next weekend lol.

The cars on my street had a tinge of frost this morning. Nothing on the trees or flowers, but it was close. Looks lie the next few days warm up again.

I’m still not used to Calgary’s weather. One day it’s beautiful fall weather and then you wake to your snow lol then it’s gone and back to fall weather for a while. It never gets boring!

Some of this years crop, we grow most of this in a 16' x 3' raised garden bed that I built. This year i built a removable cover to use to extend the growing season and keep the damn squirrels out.

Carrots, beets and potatoes. Root veggies ftw when growing in 'berta

We also grow green beans that we eat as we grow, with lots of success. Also a ton of herbs, in a our small 4-plex "yard"
