    Green Line LRT | ?m | ?s | Calgary Transit

There's lane closures on this stretch of 9th Ave for utility relocation for the underpass. Quite a large section they've closed off.

If that one wasn't getting built at the height of international student enrollment, I'm not sure what they're waiting for.

That's an extremely simplified view of government finances. It's not like the NDP had the power to commit a decade of budget spending, just like how the UCP isn't solely responsible for the new schools built just because they started "planning" and a future government finished it. This type of...

Hoping for more of these types of re-use. Top of the list is the Kensington Safeway. It wasn't part of the renovations a couple years back so hopefully something get's developed.

Low floor has the added advantage of smaller, cheaper stations. I agree low floor has some disadvantages, mainly around circulation, but it's not a deal breaker.

The challenge will be when those discount chains put their small format stores next to this. We've only got two so far (Freshco in Frontier and No Frills in WVT), but I think we'll see more overtime.

That would be incredible. With the major public investment in Stampede Park complete, the Arts investments underway/complete, I hope we return back to recreation next investment cycle. If Broadway and all the ongoing projects (Imperia, Lincoln, etc.) finish, there's going to be a huge influx of...

    Glenbow Museum | 43m | 9s | DIALOG

That first photo looks like they're already putting the furniture in place, and this isn't supposed to open until 2027. I did hope they could get it done in time for the 2026 tourist season but seems unlikely. With Olympic Plaza, Glenbow out of commission, we're missing some key cultural...

    Scotia Place | 36.85m | 11s | CSEC | HOK

If they did get to host it, could they speed up Autograph a bit so it's completed late 2027/early 2028? It should be possible.

    Calgary Flames Official Thread

I actually think there's a decent chance. There's not that many city pairs that have two modern arenas nearby that doesn't have conflicting schedules. The NHL loves to have control over scheduling, and most of the North East and LA venues can't give them that.

    General Construction Updates

Sorry just correcting myself here, one of the project is inner city-ish. The Louis Dean school, which closed a few years ago and the program was moved, is being planned and redeveloped. Maybe they'd build a new middle school so QE becomes high school only.

YTZ approach is over the water and the largest planes allowed are turboprops. YYZ, I don't think any flight path goes over downtown. Flight paths are mostly over North York, Brampton/Mississauga, and on crosswind planes come in from the lake. It's probably possible for YYC to change some of...

    Roads, Highways & Infrastructure

The budget docs have 168 and 98 million over the next two years and nothing after that. So unfortunately seems like it’s just finishing what’s ongoing.

    General Construction Updates

Not sure if this is the right thread, but is there a reason why we need to do design work for every school, and how long it takes? Especially elementary schools that don’t have as many specialized programs, could we not build them like we build transit stations where 75% of the design is the...

    Kensington Yards | 130m | 38s | Bankside | Allies and Morrison

Is it odd they brough in A+M so early in the process? This seems to be purely a Land Use application, the renders are very preliminary and they don't mention phases. There's no way this is getting built all in one go. We'll see with how Broadway and the Truman hotel residences sell, but that's a...
