Yuck. Why couldn’t they just duplicate the one from across the street. I give that one a 9/10 and this one a lowly 3/10.

I don’t see why the infield building can’t be completely removed and rebuilt. That building is kind of a dump. I worked one summer stocking liquor throughout all the concession booths at the Grandstand and Infield building, and that infield is pretty dumpy.

From what I gathered, the UofC wants to build a new stadium on campus for all the Dino athletics (that rendering was posted in another thread). The little stadium is also closer to happening than we think and could be a few months away from being announced. At that point the UofC wants nothing...

I have an inside scoop from someone directly involved that turning the Grandstand into the new home of the Stampeders is surprisingly closer and more realistic than we think…..

Those random perforated panels are such a distraction and really break up the effect of the panels. Why are they placed in such random areas?

I like it! One of the rare occasions when reality turned out better than rendering. Cool material choices and something different from the ordinary.

Saddledome lands should be turned into a giant outdoor amphitheater and park space. That is my wish at least….

I like it. High quality build. I only wish the bricks was more of a brighter white (this colour looks a bit like cinder blocks) and the balcony railings were glass instead of metal.

This one is gonna turn out fugly isn’t it? Crazy how the one across the street turned out fantastic and this one will be a turd.

Beauty! Very happy they preserved the entire facade. Notice the pattern? The conversions that retain all of the original facade (Loft, Petro Fina) or keep the integrity of the original (Teck Place) have turned out the best? Very few have removed the original exterior and turned out better than...

Aesthetically from the outside I give this an 8.5/10. I like this one a lot. Simple and attractive!

What are the sticks above the black corrugated metal section? Lights?

I swear I’ll lose my mind if they demolish the Bay building. I would love to see the exterior carefully renovated while the ground floor broken up into smaller CRU’s. Imagine a dozen smaller CRU’s lining the arcade walkway, would feel like a European street. I’m thinking keep The Guild...
